White truffles are a highly prized, rare variety found in Italy, especially Piedmont. Known for their strong fragrance and distinct flavour, white truffles are often referred to as the 'diamonds of the kitchen' and can only be harvested for a short period each year.

Truffle oil is made by infusing extra-virgin olive oil with authentic truffle pieces. DiSanto's selected olive oil producer, the family-run Frantoio Vabro, is situated in Tuscany, and holds numerous awards and certifications. Its fruity Bourbon del Monte aromatic oils are celebrated for their perfectly balanced flavours. The olives are hand-harvested and cold-pressed within 24 hours of collection, with milling occurring at a temperature below 27°C to preserve the original characteristics and nutritional values of the olives.

DiSanto's Italian truffle oil is rich and intense, so use sparingly. It will lose its flavour if cooked, so use as a finishing oil. Add a few drops to freshly cooked pasta, risotto, scrambled eggs, grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and even the humble pizza.
