About

Who we are

Di Santo & Family is a proudly family-run business founded by brothers Ivan and Maurizio Di Santo – hospitality professionals with roots in Calabria, Italy. With decades of experience in the food industry and a deep passion for Italian pastry traditions, they established the company in Crowborough, East Sussex.

At the beginning of 2025, we took a major step forward by moving into a new, purpose-built production facility. This expansion allows us to grow while staying true to our artisanal methods and commitment to quality.

Our mission is simple: to craft indulgent yet accessible pastries that honour Italy’s rich culinary heritage while embracing modern tastes.

We specialise in handcrafted Italian pastries,  from crispy Classic Cannoli and delicate Aragostine to Barchette and other traditional favourites. All our products are made using the finest ingredients, with great care and attention to detail. They are shelf-stable for 6–8 months and do not require refrigeration, making them ideal for retail, gifting and food service. Sustainability is a core value of ours. We produce on demand in small batches, minimise waste, and use 100% recyclable packaging wherever possible.

Every pastry we create is a blend of tradition and innovation, made with Love, for you to Enjoy.

2023
Di Santo & Family was founded by brothers Ivan and Maurizio Di Santo in 2023. Originally from Calabria, we started by sourcing artisanal products from trusted Italian producers, with the goal of bringing the best Italian flavours to the UK. Our initial focus was on long shelf-life pastries imported directly from Italy. After several months of market testing, we realised a gap: we couldn’t find anything – in either Italy or the UK – that truly combined authentic flavours, high-quality ingredients, attention to detail and sustainable practices.

April 2024
This realisation sparked a major shift: we decided to stop importing and start producing our own pastries – beginning with a line of Classic Cannoli. This gave us the flexibility to improve every aspect: better ingredients, small-batch production, on-demand baking, recyclable packaging and the opportunity for customisation.

Summer 2024
We officially launched our first handcrafted Cannoli range, offering both traditional and innovative flavours! The reception was overwhelmingly positive and encouraged by the feedback, we expanded our recipes and range.

September 2024
We attended our first trade show ever – the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London. It was a turning point that gave us validation and visibility, attracting attention from both independent businesses and larger retailers.

Early 2025
To meet growing demand, we moved into a larger production site and warehouse. The new facility operates with energy-efficient systems and follows strict waste-reduction protocols, in line with our deep commitment to sustainability and responsible manufacturing. We’re now a team of eleven, working hard behind the scenes to bring even more of your favourite Di Santo & Family pastries to life!  Our family of stockists keeps growing and there’s more to come!

Today, our local production allows for exceptional flexibility, from luxurious gift options, flavour customisation, mixed trays to exclusive private label opportunities with bespoke design support.

We’re proud to combine Italian tradition, modern creativity, and sustainable values – all lovingly crafted in East Sussex.
